What kind of Gangnam skin clinic is Bailor?
Gangnam has a very high concentration of skin and aesthetic clinics, and from the outside many look alike. Bailor Clinic (베일러의원) is a doctor-led clinic: the person who examines your skin and decides the plan is a doctor, and our Medical Director, Dr. Jimin Kang, oversees how treatments are chosen and performed. The clinic name combines Beauty + Tailor, which describes the way we work — one plan, made for one person, rather than a fixed package sold to everyone.
We sit in the Sinsa part of Gangnam, on the busy Gangnam-daero boulevard, which keeps us easy to reach from hotels around Gangnam Station, Sinsa, Apgujeong and Garosu-gil. The clinic covers four broad areas:
- Skin quality — skin boosters such as Rejuran, Juvelook and Skinvive, facials and LDM.
- Tone and pigment — laser toning, pico lasers and redness lasers.
- Lifting and firmness — Ultherapy, Thermage, Shurink, titanium and other lifting devices.
- Contour and lines — Botox, dermal fillers, collagen stimulators and threads.
You do not need to know which treatment you want before you come. Many international patients arrive with a goal (“less tired-looking”, “smaller pores”, “firmer jawline”) and leave with a plan that fits their skin, schedule and budget.
What a tailored plan usually aims for
Most plans at Bailor aim for gradual, natural-looking change: a more even tone after a course of toning, a smoother surface after boosters, firmer contours as collagen builds over 1–3 months after skin tightening. The doctor will tell you honestly which changes are realistic in one trip and which need a course of sessions.

Safety, side effects and who should tell the doctor
Every treatment at a skin clinic — even a gentle one — is a medical procedure. The doctor will go through risks for your specific plan; in general:
- Common: temporary redness, mild swelling, small bumps after injections, and pinpoint bruising that usually settles within a few days.
- Less common: larger bruises, temporary darkening of pigment after lasers (more likely in deeper skin tones or after sun exposure), or acne flares.
- Rare: infection, allergic reaction, burns from energy devices, or vascular complications from filler — which is why filler is placed by doctors who know facial anatomy.
Please tell the doctor if you
- are pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive;
- take blood thinners, isotretinoin, or supplements such as fish oil or ginkgo;
- have allergies (including to anaesthetic creams or fish, for PDRN products), a history of cold sores, keloids or autoimmune disease;
- have had filler, threads or lasers recently, anywhere else.
After you go home, you can keep messaging the team. If something looks unusual, send a photo and a doctor will review it.
Dr. Jimin Kang, Medical Director
Every skin treatment plan at Bailor starts with a face-to-face skin assessment by a doctor — not a sales counsellor. Dr. Kang's approach is "tailored, not templated": she chooses the product, dose and depth for your skin, and treats you herself or works alongside the other doctors on our in-house medical team.
