Aqua Peel in Gangnam for clearer pores

Aqua Peel is a water-based peel that lifts dead skin and loosens sebum from pores in a single short session. At Bailor in Sinsa, it is often the first step before toning, boosters or a calming facial.

What is Aqua Peel?

Aqua Peel is a gentle, non-invasive cleansing treatment that combines exfoliation and suction. Instead of scrubbing the surface, a handpiece with a rounded tip delivers liquid solutions — typically a mild exfoliating solution first, then a soothing or hydrating one — while a light vacuum lifts away what the solution has loosened. You can often see the debris that comes out of pores collected in the device.

Because it does not use needles, heat or strong acids, Aqua Peel is one of the easiest skin treatments to fit into a busy schedule or a short trip to Seoul. People usually choose it for:

  • Clogged pores, blackheads and a rough, congested feel on the nose, chin and cheeks
  • Dull skin with a build-up of dead cells that makes makeup sit unevenly
  • Oily or combination skin that needs regular, low-irritation cleansing
  • Preparing the skin before laser toning or a skin booster, so products and light reach the skin evenly

It is not a treatment for deep acne scars, sagging or established pigmentation. For those, the doctor will talk you through options such as RF microneedling or toning lasers instead.

Aqua Peel on its own or as part of a plan

On its own, Aqua Peel is a quick reset. Its real value at Bailor is as a base layer: clean, lightly exfoliated skin tends to respond more evenly to the steps that follow. The doctor decides what, if anything, to add after looking at your pores, oiliness and redness.

Option What it adds Good for Price
Aqua Peel only Exfoliation + pore suction Congestion, dullness, maintenance ₩50,000
LDM Triple (12 min) Ultrasound calming step Redness, dehydration after cleansing ₩100,000
Acne Black Peel Targeted peel for oily, acne-prone skin Active breakouts, oil control ₩120,000
Premium LHALA Peel Gentle peel for face and neck Rough texture, dullness ₩120,000
Deep Pore Cleansing Facial Manual extraction + mask Stubborn blackheads, whiteheads ₩180,000

If your main concern is visibly enlarged pores rather than clogged ones, Aqua Peel alone will make them look cleaner but not smaller; pore size usually needs collagen-stimulating treatments over several sessions.

What changes after an Aqua Peel

Before · congested, dull After · cleaner, smoother
⟷
Illustration only — not a patient photo. Drag to compare. Results depend on your skin type and how congested pores are.

Most people notice smoother, cleaner-feeling skin straight away, and makeup tends to sit more evenly. The effect is temporary — pores refill over a few weeks — so regular sessions or a home routine matter. For oily, breakout-prone skin, the doctor may suggest pairing it with CAPRI laser.

How an Aqua Peel visit works

  1. Skin check A doctor looks at oiliness, congestion and sensitivity and confirms Aqua Peel suits you today.
  2. Cleanse Makeup and sunscreen are removed so the solutions can reach the skin.
  3. Aqua Peel About 15–25 minutes of spray-and-suction passes, with extra time on the nose and chin.
  4. Soothe & protect A calming solution or mask, then moisturiser and sunscreen before you leave.

Because there is no recovery time, Aqua Peel works well on the first day of a trip, before a flight home, or the day before an event. If you are also planning a peel or laser, tell the team so the doctor can order the steps safely — strong exfoliation and laser on sensitive skin are not always done on the same day.

Downtime, side effects and aftercare

Aqua Peel is gentle, but it is still an exfoliating treatment. What to expect, honestly:

  • Common: light pinkness and a tight or warm feeling for up to an hour; slight tingling during the exfoliating pass.
  • Less common: temporary dryness or a few small breakouts in the days after, as congestion clears.
  • Rare: irritation, small abrasions or a flare of cold sores in people prone to them.

Tell the doctor first if

  • You use isotretinoin, or strong retinoids or acids at home
  • You have had a peel, laser or waxing on the face in the last week
  • You have active cold sores, open wounds, eczema or a sunburn
  • You are pregnant, or have known allergies to skincare ingredients

Aftercare

Wash with a gentle cleanser, moisturise, and use SPF daily. Skip scrubs, acids and retinoids for 2–3 days. Light makeup is usually fine the same evening.

Aqua peel FAQ

How much is Aqua Peel in Gangnam?

At Bailor Clinic in Sinsa, Aqua Peel is ₩50,000 per session, VAT excluded. Add-ons such as LDM Triple are priced separately. See the facial price list.

Is Aqua Peel the same as a HydraFacial?

Both are forms of hydradermabrasion that exfoliate and suction pores with liquid solutions. The devices, solutions and steps differ by brand. The doctor will recommend the option on our menu that suits your skin.

Does Aqua Peel hurt?

No numbing is needed. Most people feel cool liquid, a light suction and mild tingling during the exfoliating pass.

How often should I have Aqua Peel?

For congested or oily skin, every 2–4 weeks is common. For maintenance, once a month or before events is usually enough.

Can I do Aqua Peel with acne?

Mild acne and blackheads often respond well. Painful, inflamed breakouts may need a different plan, such as an acne spa programme or CAPRI laser, which the doctor will discuss.

Can I wear makeup afterwards?

Light makeup is usually fine the same day once any pinkness settles. Sunscreen is important for a few days after any exfoliation.
