Laetigen in Gangnam for firmer , more elastic skin

Laetigen is a collagen-stimulating injectable used when skin starts to feel thinner and looser rather than simply dry. At Bailor in Sinsa, a doctor decides whether it suits your skin and where it should be placed.

What is Laetigen and what does it do?

Laetigen belongs to a group of injectables often called collagen stimulators. Unlike a classic hyaluronic acid filler, which fills a fold the moment it is injected, a collagen stimulator is designed to trigger a gentle repair response in the skin so that it gradually produces more of its own supporting fibres. The effect is quieter: skin that feels a little thicker, springier and smoother, with fine crepey lines that soften over time.

Because it works on quality rather than shape, Laetigen sits between skin boosters and volumising fillers. Our doctors usually think of it for patients who say:

  • My skin has started to look thin and crepey, especially on the cheeks or around the eyes
  • Hydrating boosters help, but the result fades and I want more structure
  • I see early laxity along the lower face but I am not ready for threads
  • I want a gradual change that colleagues will not notice overnight

A specific Eye Laetigen protocol is used for the delicate under-eye skin, where crepiness and fine lines are often the first sign of ageing. For deeper hollowing there, an under-eye filler may be more suitable — the doctor will explain the difference at your consultation.

Can it be combined?

Yes, and often it should be. Laetigen improves the skin itself, while energy devices such as Ultherapy work on deeper support layers. If both are planned, the doctor will set the order and spacing so that swelling from one does not affect the assessment of the other.

What changes after Laetigen

Laetigen does not change your features overnight. Most people notice skin that feels firmer and looks smoother from about 4–8 weeks, with the change continuing to settle for up to three months. If you need visible lift along the jawline, the doctor may pair it with thread lifting or a lifting device.

How a Laetigen visit works

  1. Doctor consultation The doctor assesses skin thickness, laxity and lines, then agrees the area and number of syringes with you.
  2. Numbing Makeup is removed and numbing cream applied for about 30 minutes.
  3. Injection Small amounts are placed evenly by needle or cannula, usually in 20–30 minutes.
  4. Aftercare The area is cooled and checked; you receive written aftercare and our WhatsApp contact.

If you are only in Seoul for a short stay, try to have Laetigen near the start of your trip so that any swelling or small bruises settle before you fly. A follow-up session, when recommended, is usually about four weeks later and can be arranged on a return visit.

Downtime, side effects and who should wait

Laetigen is a medical injection and is planned with the same care as any filler.

  • Common: redness, mild swelling, tenderness, small raised bumps and pinpoint bruises for 2–5 days.
  • Less common: larger bruises, uneven feel or small firm nodules that usually soften over weeks; tell us if one persists.
  • Rare: infection, allergic reaction or blood-vessel compromise, which needs prompt medical review — contact us immediately about unusual pain, skin colour change or blanching.

Tell the doctor first if

You are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an autoimmune condition, a history of keloids, an active skin infection or cold sore in the area, take blood thinners, or have had filler or threads in the same place. Pregnant patients should postpone treatment.

Aftercare

Avoid pressing or massaging the area unless the doctor asks you to, skip saunas, alcohol and hard exercise for 2–3 days, and use SPF daily.

At Bailor Clinic in Sinsa, Laetigen is ₩500,000 for 1 syringe and ₩850,000 for 2 syringes; Eye Laetigen is ₩550,000, VAT excluded. See the Laetigen price page.

Is Laetigen a filler?

It is injected like a filler, but its main purpose is to stimulate collagen rather than add instant volume. That is why results appear gradually rather than straight away.

How long until I see results?

Most patients notice firmer, smoother skin from about 4–8 weeks, with the change continuing for up to 3 months. Swelling in the first days is not the final result.

How many sessions do I need?

Many people have one or two sessions about four weeks apart, depending on skin thickness and goals. The doctor will recommend a plan after examining your skin.

Can Laetigen be used under the eyes?

Yes, a dedicated Eye Laetigen protocol is used for thin, crepey under-eye skin. Deep hollows may suit an under-eye filler better.
