What a “local-price” skin clinic means at Bailor
Visitors to Seoul sometimes worry that they will be shown a different, higher price list than Korean patients. At Bailor Clinic, there is one price list, written in Korean won, and it applies to everyone who walks through the door at Sinsa Exit 5. The English website shows the same numbers.
Three rules keep pricing clear:
- Published first — every regular item, with its size (cc, units, shots or kJ), is on the price list.
- VAT shown separately — prices exclude Korea's 10% VAT, which is added at payment. A ₩300,000 treatment is ₩330,000 including VAT.
- Doctor confirms the dose — the doctor may suggest more or fewer shots or cc than you expected, and you see the new total before treatment begins.
“Local price” does not mean cheapest in Seoul. It means the price you read is the price you pay, for the product and amount the doctor recommends.

First-visit prices
Some items have a lower first-visit price, listed openly — for example wrinkle Botox ₩22,900, masseter Botox 50U ₩49,000, Thermage 300 shots ₩890,000, and Shurink 600 shots ₩189,000. These apply once per new patient and are still confirmed by the doctor.
Courses and packages
Where a course makes medical sense, it is priced on the list too — such as Potenza BASIC 4 sessions ₩1,150,000 or laser hair removal 5-session packages. You are not required to buy a course.
If you are comparing clinics, compare like with like: the product brand, the amount (units, cc, shots or kJ) and whether VAT is included.
What your budget can realistically achieve
A modest budget still goes a long way when it is spent on the right thing. A single session of toning or a skin booster can give a fresher look within days, while larger changes in firmness usually need a lifting device and 1–3 months for collagen to respond.
From quote to payment, step by step
- Check the list Look up the items you are curious about; send questions or photos on WhatsApp.
- Doctor plan The doctor recommends products and amounts; you see an itemised quote in KRW.
- Agree the total VAT (10%) is added and the final amount is confirmed before treatment starts.
- Pay & receive Pay after the plan is agreed and receive an itemised receipt for your records.
If you have a fixed budget, say so at the start. The doctor can prioritise — for example, choosing Shurink instead of a higher-energy lifting device this trip, or fewer cc of booster — and explain what difference that makes.
Price, safety and side effects
Lower prices should never mean cutting corners. At Bailor, the price list does not change who treats you or the products used: a doctor examines every patient, and the product brand and amount are stated on your plan. Side effects depend on the treatment rather than the price:
- Common: redness, mild swelling, small bumps or pinpoint bruises, usually settling in hours to a few days.
- Less common: larger bruising, temporary asymmetry after Botox, or temporary pigment change after lasers.
- Rare: infection, allergic reaction, burns, or vascular complications after filler.
Tell the doctor before treatment if you
- are pregnant or breastfeeding;
- take blood thinners, isotretinoin or herbal supplements;
- have allergies, keloid scars, cold sores or an autoimmune condition.
Be cautious of very low prices anywhere that do not state the product brand, units or cc — that information is what makes a price meaningful.
Dr. Jimin Kang, Medical Director
Every treatment plan at Bailor starts with a face-to-face skin assessment by a doctor — not a sales counsellor. Dr. Kang's approach is "tailored, not templated": she chooses the product, dose and depth for your skin, and treats you herself or works alongside the other doctors on our in-house medical team.
