What does an aesthetic clinic in Seoul offer?
In Korea, an aesthetic or “skin” clinic focuses on non-surgical treatments for the face and body: energy-based devices, lasers, injectables and medical-grade skin care. There is no operating theatre and no general anaesthesia; most treatments take under an hour and many have little or no downtime.
At Bailor Clinic, a doctor-led clinic by Sinsa Station Exit 5, we group the menu into six families. Each one works on a different layer or problem, which is why combinations are common:
- Lifting devices — heat from ultrasound or radiofrequency at different depths to tighten and firm.
- Lasers and toning — light energy for pigment, redness, pores and texture.
- Botox — relaxing specific muscles for lines, jaw slimming or sweating.
- Fillers and collagen stimulators — restoring volume or prompting the skin's own collagen.
- Skin boosters — micro-injections for hydration and skin quality.
- Facials, peels and IV drips — supportive care for acne-prone, dull or tired skin.
The skill lies less in owning many devices and more in choosing the right two or three for one person. That is the idea behind our name, Beauty + Tailor.
It also means we will sometimes suggest less than you asked for. If a single lifting session or a few units of Botox will give you a natural result, there is no reason to add more. Many of our international patients return on later trips and build on a plan gradually, which tends to look more natural than changing everything at once.
What a combined aesthetic plan aims for
Different families change things on different timelines: Botox settles in about 1–2 weeks, boosters improve texture over 2–8 weeks, and lifting devices usually show gradual firming over 1–3 months. A well-planned combination, such as lifting plus skin boosters, tends to look natural because no single treatment is pushed too far.
How we build your aesthetic plan
- Your priorities Tell us the one or two things that bother you most and how long you are in Seoul.
- Doctor assessment The doctor checks skin quality, laxity, volume and muscle activity in person.
- Short shortlist Usually two or three treatments, with order, downtime and itemised price.
- Treat & review Same-day treatment when suitable; follow-up questions on WhatsApp after you leave.
If you are not sure where to start, the doctor consultation is the right first step. For quality-of-skin goals, our skin goals pages explain how different treatments contribute to a glow, smoother texture or firmer look.
Side effects and safety across the menu
Non-surgical does not mean risk-free. The doctor will explain the risks of the treatments in your plan. Broadly:
- Common: redness, warmth or swelling after devices and lasers; small bumps, tenderness and bruising after injections — usually settling within hours to a few days.
- Less common: temporary headache or asymmetry after Botox, lumps after collagen stimulators, temporary pigment changes after lasers, or nerve sensitivity after lifting devices.
- Rare: burns, infection, allergic reaction, or vascular occlusion after filler, which needs urgent treatment — contact us immediately if you notice blanching, severe pain or colour change.
Who should wait or tell the doctor
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding — most aesthetic treatments are postponed.
- Blood thinners, isotretinoin, immune-suppressing drugs or recent antibiotics.
- Allergies (anaesthetics, lidocaine, fish for PDRN), autoimmune disease, keloids, cold sores, metal implants or pacemakers near the treatment area.
Dr. Jimin Kang, Medical Director
Every aesthetic treatment plan at Bailor starts with a face-to-face skin assessment by a doctor — not a sales counsellor. Dr. Kang's approach is "tailored, not templated": she chooses the product, dose and depth for your skin, and treats you herself or works alongside the other doctors on our in-house medical team.
Aesthetic treatment FAQ
Does Bailor offer plastic surgery?
No. Bailor is a non-surgical skin and aesthetic clinic. We use devices, lasers, injectables and medical skin care; there is no surgery or general anaesthesia.
Which treatments are most popular with international visitors?
Common requests include Ultherapy or Thermage for lifting, Rejuran or Juvelook boosters, laser toning, and Botox for jaw slimming. The doctor will recommend what suits your skin rather than what is popular.
Can I have several aesthetic treatments on the same day?
Often, yes — for example a lifting device followed by a skin booster. The doctor checks which combinations are safe and in which order.
How much does an aesthetic plan cost?
Single treatments start from ₩30,000 for one area of Botox. A combined plan is quoted item by item after the consultation. See the full price list.
How long do results last?
It varies: Botox about 3–4 months, boosters around 4–6 months, and lifting devices commonly 6–12 months, depending on the device and your skin.
