Ultracol for thin , tired under-eye skin

Ultracol is a collagen-stimulating booster most often used for fine lines and thin, crepey skin under the eyes. At Bailor in Sinsa, a doctor checks whether it suits you or whether another approach would work better.

What is Ultracol?

Ultracol is a skin booster designed to stimulate collagen in thin skin. It is formulated to spread smoothly in the dermis without forming the kind of volume that a hyaluronic acid filler adds. That is why it is most often used under the eyes, where skin is among the thinnest on the body and extra volume can easily look puffy.

Rather than filling a hollow, Ultracol aims to make the skin itself a little thicker and smoother over time. The change is subtle: lines soften and crepey texture improves, while the shape of the area stays natural.

Ultracol is usually considered for:

  • Fine, crinkly under-eye wrinkles
  • Thin under-eye skin where shadows show through
  • Crepey texture that makes concealer settle into lines
  • Patients who want improvement without the risk of a heavy, filled look

Ultracol compared with other under-eye treatments

The under-eye area has several treatment options, and each solves a slightly different problem. A doctor will look at whether your concern is skin quality, a true hollow, or both.

Treatment Best for Price
Ultracol Under-Eye Thin, crepey skin and fine lines ₩350,000 / 3 sessions ₩900,000
Ultracol Full Face (1 vial) Overall skin thickness and texture ₩800,000
Rejuran Eye Fragile, sensitive under-eye skin from ₩180,000
Juvelook Eye Fine lines plus gradual collagen ₩300,000
Eye Laetigen Elasticity around the eye area ₩550,000
Under-eye filler A true hollow or tear trough from ₩450,000

If you have both a visible hollow and thin skin, the doctor may suggest addressing the skin first with Ultracol, then reassessing whether filler is still needed. For darker circles caused by pigment, a toning laser is often more useful than any injectable — see our hollow under eyes guide.

What Ultracol changes under the eyes

Ultracol does not change things overnight. Most patients see under-eye skin looking smoother and less crepey from around four weeks, with further improvement after a second or third session. Results typically last several months. For broader skin-quality goals, compare it with other skin boosters.

How an Ultracol visit works

  1. Doctor consultation We examine skin thickness, lines, hollows and pigment to confirm Ultracol is the right fit.
  2. Numbing Numbing cream for about 30 minutes; ice to reduce bruising risk.
  3. Injection 15–30 minutes with a fine needle or cannula, placed carefully in thin skin.
  4. Aftercare Cold compress, bruise-care advice and check-in by WhatsApp if needed.

Under-eye skin bruises more easily than the cheeks. If you have a photo-heavy event or a flight home, book Ultracol about a week ahead so any swelling or bruising has time to fade.

Downtime, side effects and who should wait

The under-eye area is delicate, so we are especially careful here. What to expect:

  • Common: mild swelling, small bumps and tenderness for 2–3 days; pinpoint bruising that may take up to a week to fade.
  • Less common: more noticeable bruising or puffiness, temporary unevenness that settles as the product integrates.
  • Rare: nodules, infection or allergic reaction.

Tell the doctor first if you

  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding — we postpone treatment
  • Take aspirin, blood thinners, fish oil or vitamin E
  • Have had fillers or threads under the eyes recently
  • Have an active infection, cold sore or eye irritation
  • Have a history of keloids or autoimmune disease

Afterwards, avoid rubbing the eyes, sleep with your head slightly raised the first night, and skip saunas, alcohol and intense exercise for a few days.

Ultracol FAQ

How much does Ultracol cost in Gangnam?

At Bailor Clinic in Sinsa, Ultracol Under-Eye is ₩350,000 per session or ₩900,000 for three sessions; Ultracol Full Face (1 vial) is ₩800,000, VAT excluded. See the Ultracol price page.

Is Ultracol a filler?

No. Ultracol is a collagen booster that improves skin quality rather than adding volume. A true hollow may still need filler.

How long does bruising last after Ultracol?

Small bruises under the eyes can last up to a week. Many patients have none, but plan around important events.

How many sessions of Ultracol do I need?

Some patients are happy after one, but up to three sessions about four weeks apart is typical for the best result.

Can Ultracol fix dark circles?

It can help shadows caused by thin skin. Dark circles caused by pigment usually respond better to laser toning, so the doctor will check the cause first.
