What is Shurink Universe?
Shurink Universe is a HIFU (high-intensity focused ultrasound) lifting device. Ultrasound energy passes through the skin and converges at a set depth, where it creates many tiny heated points. The tissue around those points contracts, and over the following weeks the body lays down new collagen — the slow part of the result.
Different cartridges reach different depths, so the doctor can work on the deeper support layer along the jaw and on more superficial layers for skin tightening. It is a popular choice for people who want definition without injections, or who want to maintain a result between larger lifting treatments such as Ultherapy.
Shurink is often discussed for:
- A softer jawline or early jowls

How a Shurink visit works
- Doctor consultation We assess skin thickness, fat and laxity, then agree the areas and shot count.
- Mapping & numbing The treatment zones are marked and numbing cream is applied for about 30 minutes.
- HIFU treatment 20–40 minutes; you feel deep, brief heat or pricking along each line.
- Soothing Gel is removed, skin is calmed and you can go straight back to your day.

Downtime, side effects and who should wait
HIFU does not break the skin, but the energy is delivered beneath it, so careful mapping matters:
- Common: mild redness, swelling and tenderness to touch for a few hours to a few days; a tight or achy feeling along the jaw.
- Less common: small bruises, faint lines or welts that settle within days, or tingling and temporary numbness.
- Rare: superficial burns, prolonged nerve irritation, or fat loss in an area where volume was already low.
Tell the doctor before treatment if you
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Have fillers, threads or metal implants in the area
- Have an active skin infection, open wounds or severe acne in the zone
- Have very thin or hollow cheeks, as volume loss may become more visible
Aftercare

Does Shurink hurt?
You feel brief deep heat or pricking, strongest over bony areas. Numbing cream for about 30 minutes makes it tolerable for most people.
