A doctor-led skin clinic in Sinsa

Sinsa is the northern edge of Gangnam, close to the Han River and just south of Apgujeong. Its tree-lined Garosu-gil streets are known for small boutiques and cafés, and the area has many skin clinics. Bailor Clinic sits on the main road, Gangnam-daero, rather than inside the side streets, so it is easy to find from the station and from a taxi.

Inside, the clinic works the same way for every patient: a doctor examines your skin first, then suggests a plan that fits what you want and how long you are in Seoul. Our Medical Director, Dr. Jimin Kang, leads a small in-house team of doctors. You can come for a single quick treatment such as Botox or mole removal, or for a longer plan combining lasers, boosters and lifting.

A note on the address: the building's street address is listed under Seocho-gu, while the station and most of the Sinsa neighbourhood are in Gangnam-gu. Both describe the same place — if a map app shows “Seocho-gu”, you are in the right spot.

How to get here from Sinsa Station Exit 5

Sinsa Station is served by Seoul Subway Line 3 and the Shinbundang Line, so it connects well to Gangnam Station, Apgujeong, Express Bus Terminal and central Seoul.

By subway

  • Follow the signs to Exit 5 inside Sinsa Station.
  • At street level you are on Gangnam-daero. Look for the Daeyang Building at number 617 — it is a short walk.
  • Take the lift or stairs to the 4th floor (4F); the clinic sign reads Bailor Clinic / 베일러의원.

By taxi

Show the driver the Korean name 베일러의원 and the address “서울 서초구 강남대로 617”. Asking for “Sinsa Station Exit 5” also works, as most drivers know the station exits.

Illustration only — not a patient photo. Drag to compare. Typical skin-quality goals are clearer tone, smoother texture and a rested look; real results vary from person to person.

Visitors to Sinsa often ask for skin that looks rested and even rather than “done”. That usually means a mix of tone work, hydration and gentle firming; for example, glass-skin plans combine boosters with toning over several weeks, while one visit can still give a noticeable fresh look.

How a visit to our Sinsa clinic works

  1. Arrive at 4F Check in at reception; we confirm your name, goals and any medical history.
  2. Doctor exam A doctor looks at your skin in good light and talks through options and limits.
  3. Plan & price You agree a plan and see the itemised price, with VAT shown separately.
  4. Treatment & go Treatment, calming care and written aftercare — then Sinsa is right outside.

Most single-treatment visits take around an hour including numbing; lifting devices and combination plans can take longer. If your time in Seoul is short, tell us your departure date when booking so the doctor can choose treatments whose redness or swelling will settle before you fly. The doctor consultation page explains this in more detail.

Side effects, timing and safety for visitors

Combining a skin treatment with sightseeing is very common, but a little planning keeps it comfortable:

  • Common: redness for a few hours after lasers, small injection bumps for 1–3 days, and mild tenderness. Sunscreen and a hat help when walking around Sinsa afterwards.
  • Less common: visible bruising for up to a week after injections, or temporary darker patches after pigment lasers if skin is exposed to strong sun.
  • Rare: infection, allergic reaction, or burns from devices — the doctor will explain the specific risks of your treatment and how to reach us.

Tell the doctor before treatment if you

  • are pregnant or breastfeeding;
  • take blood-thinning medication, isotretinoin, or herbal supplements;
  • have allergies, a tendency to keloid scars, or recurrent cold sores;
  • plan a long flight, sauna or heavy exercise within 48 hours.

Alcohol, saunas and jjimjilbang visits should be avoided for a couple of days after most injectables and lasers.

Who treats you

Dr. Jimin Kang, Medical Director

Every skin care plan at Bailor starts with a face-to-face skin assessment by a doctor — not a sales counsellor. Dr. Kang's approach is "tailored, not templated": she chooses the product, dose and depth for your skin, and treats you herself or works alongside the other doctors on our in-house medical team.
