IV therapy in Gangnam, chosen by a doctor

IV drips deliver vitamins, minerals and antioxidants directly into the bloodstream while you rest. At Bailor in Sinsa, a doctor reviews your health first and suggests a formula — or advises against one if it isn't right for you.

What is IV therapy?

IV (intravenous) therapy means a solution is delivered straight into a vein rather than swallowed. Nutrients given this way bypass the digestive system, so they reach the bloodstream in a predictable amount. In aesthetic clinics in Korea, IV drips are commonly used as a supportive treatment — for people who feel run-down while travelling, or who want to support skin brightness alongside laser and booster plans.

It is important to be precise about what IV therapy can and cannot do. Evidence for many wellness uses is limited, effects on how you feel vary from person to person, and a drip is not a treatment for illness. What we can promise is a careful process: a doctor reviews your health, chooses ingredients that are appropriate, and monitors you during the infusion.

People usually ask about IV therapy when they want:

  • A restorative session after a long-haul flight or a busy week in Seoul
  • Antioxidant support, such as glutathione and vitamin C, alongside laser toning for dull skin
  • A familiar formula, such as a Myers' cocktail, in a quiet clinical setting
  • Something relaxing to combine with a facial or skin treatment on the same visit

What people usually notice

Some people feel refreshed within a day; others notice little. Effects on skin tone, when they occur, are subtle and gradual. For a visible change in brightness or hydration, a doctor will usually suggest combining a drip with a clinic facial or a toning laser.

How an IV therapy visit works

  1. Health check You complete a short questionnaire; the doctor reviews conditions, medications, allergies and pregnancy status.
  2. Formula choice The doctor recommends a formula and any add-ons, and explains what to expect honestly.
  3. Infusion A fine cannula is placed in the arm; the drip runs for about 20–60 minutes while you rest.
  4. Finish The cannula is removed and a small dressing applied. You can return to your day immediately.

International visitors often book a drip on their first or second day in Seoul. It fits easily before or after a facial, and you can message us on WhatsApp in advance to ask which formula suits your plans.

Side effects and who should not have IV therapy

  • Common: a cool sensation in the arm, a mild taste in the mouth from vitamins, and a small bruise or tenderness at the cannula site.
  • Less common: light-headedness, flushing or warmth (particularly with magnesium), nausea, or mild headache; the infusion can be slowed.
  • Rare: vein irritation (phlebitis), infection at the site, or allergic reaction.

Tell the doctor first, or avoid IV therapy, if

You are pregnant or breastfeeding, have kidney or heart disease, high blood pressure, G6PD deficiency, a history of kidney stones, or diabetes, or take regular medication including blood thinners. Mention every supplement and any allergy. If you feel unwell during the drip, tell staff straight away — it can be paused immediately.
