Fine lines, softened early and naturally

Fine lines appear from repeated expressions, dryness and thinning collagen. At Bailor in Sinsa, a doctor identifies which of these is behind your lines and chooses a light-touch treatment to match.

What causes fine lines?

Fine lines are the shallow, early creases that show before deeper wrinkles set in — often first around the eyes, across the forehead and on the cheeks when smiling. They tend to have one of three causes, and identifying the right one makes the biggest difference to the result:

  • Expression lines — crow's feet, frown lines and forehead lines that appear when you move and fade at rest
  • Dehydration lines — fine crisscross lines that look worse in dry air, on flights or with tired skin
  • Thinning skin — crepey texture from gradual collagen loss and sun exposure, especially under the eyes and on the neck

Expression lines respond to muscle-relaxing injections, while dehydration and thinning respond to hydration and collagen support. Many people have a mix. Deeper lines that stay visible at rest are covered on our wrinkles treatment page.

What changes in fine lines

Botox starts softening expression lines after 3–5 days, with the full effect at about two weeks, and lasts roughly 3–4 months. Boosters give a smoother, more hydrated surface over 2–6 weeks. Fine lines do not disappear completely, and maintenance keeps them soft. If skin feels thin overall, collagen injections can add longer-term support.

How a fine lines visit works

  1. Doctor assessment The doctor watches your lines at rest and in movement, and checks hydration and skin thickness.
  2. Plan & numbing One or two treatments are chosen; numbing cream is applied for about 30 minutes before boosters.
  3. Treatment 10–30 minutes: precise Botox points, micro-injections of booster, or a gentle laser pass.
  4. Aftercare Calming care and instructions; Botox can be retouched within 4 weeks where included.

Fine lines treatment fits well into a short stay in Seoul, since Botox has almost no visible downtime and boosters settle in 1–3 days. Have Botox at least two weeks before an event so the effect has fully developed.

Downtime, side effects and aftercare

The treatments used for fine lines are low-downtime, but each has its own possible side effects:

  • Common: small injection marks, mild redness and tiny bumps for 1–3 days after boosters; slight tenderness or a headache after Botox.
  • Less common: bruising, a heavy feeling in the forehead, or slight asymmetry that can be adjusted at a retouch.
  • Rare: a drooping eyelid or brow after Botox, infection, or an allergic reaction to a booster ingredient.

Tell the doctor first if you

  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding (Botox and most boosters are postponed)
  • Have a neuromuscular condition or take certain antibiotics
  • Have a fish allergy (relevant to Rejuran and PDRN)
  • Take blood thinners or have active skin infection or cold sores

After Botox, stay upright for about 4 hours and avoid rubbing the area. After boosters, skip makeup for 24 hours and avoid saunas and hard exercise for 2–3 days. Daily SPF helps prevent new lines.

Fine lines FAQ

How much does fine lines treatment cost in Gangnam?

At Bailor Clinic in Sinsa, wrinkle Botox starts from ₩30,000 per area, skin Botox 1cc from ₩50,000 and Rejuran Healer 2cc is ₩300,000, VAT excluded. See skin Botox prices.

Botox or skin booster for fine lines?

Botox works best for lines caused by movement, such as crow's feet. Skin boosters suit lines from dryness and thin skin. The doctor often combines a small amount of each.

Will I look frozen?

Fine-line plans use conservative doses aimed at softening lines while keeping natural expression. A retouch can fine-tune the result.

How long do results last?

Botox typically lasts 3–4 months. Booster results usually last several months and build with a course of 2–3 sessions.

At what age should I start?

There is no fixed age. People usually start when lines remain visible after moving or when skin begins to feel crepey.
