LHALA Peel in Gangnam for smoother skin

The LHALA Peel is a gentle, low-downtime chemical peel that refines rough, dull skin without the heavy peeling of stronger peels. At Bailor in Sinsa, it is offered as the Premium LHALA Peel for face and neck, or as a longer Hydrating LHALA Peel Facial.

What is the LHALA Peel?

A chemical peel uses a solution to loosen the bonds between dead cells on the surface of the skin, so they shed more evenly. Strong peels go deep and cause days of visible peeling. The LHALA Peel sits at the gentle end of the spectrum: it is designed to refresh the outer layer with minimal visible peeling, so most people return to normal plans the same day.

Because it is mild, it is often used in a series rather than as a one-off, building smoother texture and a brighter tone over several sessions. It is commonly chosen for:

  • Dull, sallow or tired-looking skin
  • Rough texture and makeup that sits unevenly
  • Mild congestion and small bumps on the forehead or cheeks
  • A crepey, dry-looking neck that is often left out of facial routines

It does not treat deep wrinkles, sagging, melasma or deep scars on its own. For those, the doctor may suggest combining peels with toning lasers, boosters or RF treatments.

Premium LHALA Peel or Hydrating LHALA Peel Facial?

Bailor offers the LHALA Peel in two formats. The difference is mainly how much additional care surrounds the peel:

Premium LHALA Peel Hydrating LHALA Peel Facial
Area Face + neck Face
What it includes Cleansing, peel, soothing finish Peel within a fuller facial with hydrating and calming steps
Time About 20–30 min About 40–50 min
Suits Regular refresh, neck texture, busy schedules Dry, dehydrated or sensitive skin; pre-event care
Price ₩120,000 ₩250,000

If your skin is congested, a cleansing step such as Aqua Peel(₩50,000) beforehand can help the peel act more evenly. For uneven tone that remains after a peel series, the doctor may add laser toning.

Skin usually looks fresher within a few days as dull cells shed. Texture keeps improving across a series of 3–5 sessions spaced 2–4 weeks apart. For more radiance between peels, see how we approach glowing skin.

How a LHALA Peel visit works

  1. Doctor skin check We look at sensitivity, recent treatments and medications and choose Premium or Hydrating format.
  2. Cleanse Makeup and oil are removed so the peel acts evenly across the skin.
  3. Peel application The solution is applied and monitored; warmth or tingling is normal.
  4. Calm & hydrate Soothing and hydrating steps, then moisturiser and sunscreen.

Plan peels at least a few days before an important event in case of light flaking. If you are travelling, avoid strong sun and beach days straight after a peel, and pack a high-SPF sunscreen. The doctor can also order the peel safely alongside a skin booster if you want both on one trip.

Downtime, side effects and aftercare

Even gentle peels are active treatments. What to expect:

  • Common: warmth, tingling or mild stinging during the peel; pinkness and tightness for a few hours.
  • Less common: light, fine flaking for 1–3 days; temporary dryness; a few small breakouts.
  • Rare: irritation or burns if skin is over-exfoliated, darker marks (post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation), cold sore flare, or allergic reaction.

Tell the doctor first if

  • You use isotretinoin, retinoids, or strong acids at home
  • You have had a laser, peel, waxing or sunburn in the past week
  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding (some peel ingredients are avoided)
  • You have eczema, rosacea flares, cold sores, open wounds or known allergies

Aftercare

Do not pick at flaking skin. Use a gentle cleanser, rich moisturiser and SPF daily, and avoid retinoids, acids, scrubs and saunas for about a week.

Lhala peel FAQ

How much is the LHALA Peel in Gangnam?

At Bailor Clinic in Sinsa, the Premium LHALA Peel (face and neck) is ₩120,000 and the Hydrating LHALA Peel Facial is ₩250,000, VAT excluded. See the facial price list.

Will my skin peel a lot?

Usually not. Most people have only pinkness or light, fine flaking for a day or two, which is why it is considered low-downtime.

Is the LHALA Peel safe for sensitive skin?

It is one of the gentler peels, but sensitive or reactive skin should be checked first. The doctor may choose the Hydrating format or a different facial.

How many sessions do I need?

A series of 3–5 sessions about 2–4 weeks apart is common, followed by occasional maintenance.

Can I combine it with laser or Botox?

Often yes, with the right order and spacing. The doctor will advise whether to do them the same day or on separate visits.

Can I wear makeup after the peel?

Light makeup is usually fine the next day. Avoid heavy foundation while skin is flaking, and always use sunscreen.
