What is CAPRI laser?
Most acne treatments work on what you can see: clogged pores, bacteria and inflamed spots. CAPRI aims one step earlier. It uses a laser wavelength that sebum absorbs well, so energy is concentrated in the sebaceous glands — the glands that produce the oil acne feeds on — while a cooling system protects the skin surface.
The goal is less oil production and fewer new inflamed spots over time. It is not an instant fix: change typically builds over several weeks and a course of sessions, and it is usually combined with good skincare and, where needed, medical acne care.
CAPRI may be worth discussing if you have:
- Recurring inflamed acne on the face, back or chest
- Very oily skin that becomes shiny within hours of cleansing
- Acne that returns whenever you stop creams or antibiotics
- Adult acne alongside early scarring that you want to prevent getting worse
Because the laser targets oil production, people with mainly dry or dehydrated skin and only occasional spots usually benefit more from barrier-focused care, such as acne facials or gentle skincare changes, than from CAPRI.
CAPRI plans and how they are combined
Acne rarely has one cause, so the doctor may pair CAPRI with a second treatment that addresses texture, healing or extraction. These are the options on our current price list:
| Plan | What it adds | Price |
|---|---|---|
| CAPRI Laser (first visit) | One introductory session | ₩99,000 |
| CAPRI Laser | Single session | ₩150,000 |
| CAPRI + Potenza N-25 | RF microneedling for pores and early scars | ₩330,000 |
| CAPRI + FILCORE Exo Healer 3cc | Exosome care for calming and recovery | ₩350,000 |

Where CAPRI fits with other acne care
For blocked pores and whiteheads, professional acne extractions clear what is already there, while CAPRI works on oil production. If marks or uneven texture have already formed, Potenza RF microneedling or a dedicated acne scar plan may come later, once inflammation is under control.
What changes in acne-prone skin
Most people notice less shine and fewer new inflamed spots gradually over a course rather than after one visit. Existing marks and scars are a separate problem; if they remain once acne is calmer, the doctor may suggest acne facials for maintenance or scar-focused treatment.
How a CAPRI laser visit works
- Doctor consultation We look at the type of acne, oiliness, scarring and current medication, then decide whether CAPRI is suitable.
- Cleansing & protection Makeup is removed, the skin is cleansed and your eyes are protected.
- Laser treatment Usually 20–40 minutes, with surface cooling throughout; most people feel heat and short pulses.
- Soothing care A calming step and aftercare advice for the next few days.
If you are only in Seoul for a short time, one session can be a starting point, but acne typically needs repeated sessions and consistent home care. We can suggest a skincare routine you can continue at home and explain what to look for before your next treatment, wherever you have it.
Downtime, side effects and aftercare
CAPRI is designed to protect the skin surface, but heat-based laser treatment still carries some risk:
- Common: redness, warmth and mild swelling for a few hours to a day; some people notice a short-lived breakout as skin settles.
- Less common: tenderness or small areas of dryness for a few days; temporary darker marks in people prone to pigmentation.
- Rare: blisters, burns or longer-lasting pigment change.
Tell the doctor before treatment if you
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Take or recently took isotretinoin, or use photosensitising medication
- Have a recent tan, cold sores, or an active skin infection other than acne
- Tend to form keloid or raised scars
Aftercare
Avoid saunas, hot baths and strong exfoliating acids for 2–3 days, do not pick at spots, and wear SPF every day. If anything looks unusual, send a photo on WhatsApp and a doctor will review it.

CAPRI laser FAQ
How much does CAPRI laser cost in Gangnam?
At Bailor Clinic in Sinsa, a CAPRI session is ₩150,000 and a first visit session is ₩99,000, VAT excluded. Combinations with Potenza N-25 or FILCORE Exo Healer are ₩330,000 and ₩350,000. See the acne treatment price list.
How many CAPRI sessions will I need?
It varies with the severity of acne, but a course of several sessions a few weeks apart is typical. The doctor will suggest a plan after seeing your skin.
Does CAPRI laser hurt?
Most people describe heat and quick snapping pulses. The device cools the skin during treatment, and numbing cream can be used if you are sensitive.
Can I have CAPRI while taking acne medication?
Tell the doctor about every medication. Isotretinoin in particular may mean treatment should be delayed. Do not stop prescribed medicine without speaking to your prescribing doctor.
Will CAPRI remove my acne scars?
CAPRI is aimed at active acne and oiliness, not established scars. Scars are usually treated afterwards with options such as RF microneedling or scar fillers.
Can I wear makeup after CAPRI?
Light makeup is usually fine the next day once redness has settled. Use non-comedogenic products and keep up daily sunscreen.
