What is a Myers' cocktail?
The Myers' cocktail is named after a physician who used a vitamin and mineral infusion in his practice decades ago. The classic mix includes B-complex vitamins(often with B12), vitamin C, magnesium and calcium, diluted in fluid and given slowly through a vein.
Why intravenous? Some nutrients are absorbed only partly when taken by mouth. An infusion delivers a set amount directly into the bloodstream. Whether that translates into feeling better is individual: some people report feeling refreshed or less fatigued, others feel no difference. Research on the Myers' cocktail is limited, so we describe it honestly as a supportive wellness treatment, not a cure.
Visitors usually ask for it when they:
- Have just arrived after a long flight and want to rest and rehydrate
- Feel run-down during a demanding trip or work week
- Already know the formula from home and want it during their stay
- Are combining it with a facial or skin treatment on the same visit

Adding skin support
If your goal is brighter skin, a drip alone tends to be subtle. Many patients pair it with antioxidant glutathione or a gentle Aqua Peel facial during the same visit.
What people usually notice
Some people feel refreshed the same day; others notice little change. Any skin effect is subtle. For a visible glow before an event, the doctor may suggest pairing the drip with a skin booster or a facial.
How a Myers' cocktail visit works
- Health questions A short questionnaire covers medical history, medication, allergies and pregnancy.
- Doctor review The doctor confirms the drip is suitable and chooses Basic or Premium with you.
- Infusion A fine cannula is placed in the arm and the drip runs over about 30–45 minutes.
- Back to your day The cannula is removed and a small dressing applied; no recovery time is needed.
Running the drip slowly reduces flushing or warmth from magnesium. Bring a drink and something to read, or simply rest. Tell staff at once if you feel dizzy or unwell — the infusion can be slowed or stopped.
Side effects and who should not have it
- Common: a warm or flushing feeling, a vitamin taste in the mouth, a cool arm, and a small bruise at the cannula site.
- Less common: light-headedness, nausea or headache, usually eased by slowing the drip.
- Rare: vein irritation (phlebitis), infection at the site, allergic reaction, or low blood pressure.
Tell the doctor first, or avoid it, if
You are pregnant or breastfeeding, have kidney disease or kidney stones, heart disease or heart-rhythm problems, high blood pressure, G6PD deficiency or haemochromatosis, or take medicines such as blood thinners, heart medication or diuretics. Mention all supplements, especially those containing high-dose vitamins or minerals.
