What is Brazilian laser hair removal?
A Brazilian treatment covers more than the bikini line: it usually includes the front pubic area, the labia or scrotal area as agreed, and the area between the buttocks. Laser light is absorbed by melanin in the hair shaft and follicle, and the heat reduces the follicle's ability to grow a new hair. The surrounding skin is protected by cooling.
Hair grows in cycles, and the laser is most effective on hairs in their active growth phase. That is why one session never removes everything: each visit catches a new group of follicles, and hair becomes finer and sparser over a course. It is a reduction treatment — some fine or light hairs may remain, and occasional maintenance sessions are normal.
People usually choose a Brazilian laser treatment because of:
- Ingrown hairs, razor bumps and irritation from shaving
- Darkening of the skin from repeated waxing or shaving friction
- Time spent on regular grooming before swimming or travel
- A wish for a tidier shape or a fully hair-free area
Brazilian plans and prices
The female and male Brazilian areas are priced separately because the treated area and hair density differ. Packages cover a full course at a lower price per session:
| Plan | 1 session | 5 sessions | 10 sessions |
|---|---|---|---|
| Female Brazilian (no shaving) | ₩120,000 | ₩400,000 | ₩650,000 |
| Male Brazilian | ₩180,000 | ₩600,000 | — |

Combining areas
Many patients add underarms (₩30,000 per session) or full legs (₩225,000 per session) on the same visit, since all of these areas follow a similar session rhythm. For face, arms and other body areas, see our main laser hair removal page.
Privacy and comfort
Treatment takes place in a private room, and you will be given disposable underwear and a cover. Tell us if you would prefer a female member of staff, and we will try to arrange it. If the inner thighs or bikini skin have become darker from friction, the doctor can also discuss body pico toning once hair reduction is under way.
What changes over a course
Treated hairs usually shed within 1–3 weeks after a session. Most people notice clearly sparser, finer regrowth after 3–4 sessions and a long-lasting reduction after a full course, with occasional top-ups later. Hormonal changes can bring new growth, so a doctor reviews progress at each visit — just as with our other laser hair removal areas.
How a Brazilian session works
- Doctor check We confirm hair colour, skin type, medications and the exact area and shape you want.
- Preparation Female Brazilian needs no shaving at home; the area is tidied and cleansed, and numbing cream is used if needed.
- Laser Usually 15–30 minutes, with cooling built in and settings adjusted to sensitive zones.
- Soothing care A calming cream and written aftercare before you go.
If you are only in Seoul for a short time, one session will still thin the hair noticeably for many people, and you can continue the course elsewhere. Avoid scheduling a session right before swimming, a beach day or a long flight in tight clothing.
Downtime, side effects and aftercare
Laser hair removal is a routine treatment, but intimate-area skin is thin and often slightly darker, so settings are chosen carefully. What to expect:
- Common: warmth, a snapping sensation, redness and small bumps around follicles (perifollicular swelling) for a few hours up to a day.
- Less common: mild itching, folliculitis, or temporarily darker or lighter patches, especially on darker or recently tanned skin.
- Rare: blisters, burns or crusting, and paradoxical hair growth near the treated area.
Tell the doctor first if you
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding — treatment is usually postponed
- Take photosensitising medication, isotretinoin or recent antibiotics
- Have genital herpes, active infection, irritation or a recent wax
- Have very light, grey or red hair, which responds poorly to laser
Aftercare
Wear loose cotton underwear for a day, avoid saunas, hot baths, swimming pools and hard exercise for 24–48 hours, and do not wax or pluck between sessions — shaving is fine. If anything looks unusual, send a photo on WhatsApp and a doctor will review it.

Brazilian hair removal FAQ
How much does Brazilian laser hair removal cost in Gangnam?
At Bailor Clinic in Sinsa, a female Brazilian session is ₩120,000, 5 sessions ₩400,000 and 10 sessions ₩650,000. A male Brazilian is ₩180,000 per session or ₩600,000 for 5, VAT excluded. See the laser hair removal prices.
How many Brazilian sessions will I need?
Most people need around 5–10 sessions spaced 4–8 weeks apart. Dark, coarse hair responds well; fine or light hair may need more sessions or respond less.
Do I need to shave before a Brazilian session?
The female Brazilian package does not require shaving at home. Do not wax or pluck for about 4 weeks before treatment, because the laser needs the hair root in place.
Does Brazilian laser hair removal hurt?
It is usually more sensitive than other areas. Most people describe a quick snapping or warm prick; cooling is built in and numbing cream can be applied if needed.
Can I have treatment during my period?
Many people can, using a tampon or menstrual cup, but some prefer to reschedule because the skin can be more sensitive. Let us know and we will arrange what is comfortable for you.
Is the treatment private?
Yes. It takes place in a private room with disposable underwear provided, and you can ask in advance on WhatsApp at +82 10-3054-1757 about staff preferences.
